About 600 youths flocked the Youth Alive Vision Kick-off Rally of the NLDC Youth Ministry Network held at the CAP Main Auditorium in Representing more than half of NLDC’s 150 churches from five sections, they gathered to repent from the sin of living a compromised Christianity and not sharing the gospel and to commit themselves to living beyond religion by being the “hands and feet” of God to their generation.
The rally was graced by stirring messages from God’s Words through the ministry of Ptr. Crame Velasquez, NLDC District Youth Director; and Ptr. Eric Miller, a missionary from the U.S. who was a product of the famed Brownville Revival. A worship ministry team which was gathered from a pool of the best worship leaders in the district led the singing as hundreds of young people dance and jump for Jesus. Many were refreshed as the team led the congregation to an open heaven in worship. The rally was begun through a small group discussion about the identity of Assemblies of God youths in the evangelical world and in the community today. The result of a survey which was conducted prior to the rally to find out the worldview of the average Filipino youth in The discussion brought the congregation to their knees as they repent before God through a prayer of repentance led by Rev. Evangelina Garcia, NLDC Secretary, who was present in the meeting. Towards the end of the rally, stirring messages about having a vision for the great commission and campus ministry was given. Then an altar call was given for those present who were not yet baptized in the Holy Spirit. The floors were littered with the bodies of youths who fell from the power of God as they begin to speak in tongues for the first time. The rally is the first half of the DYMN program focusing on discipling this generation for Jesus. On January 9, forty days after the kick-off, the DYMN leaders will release the materials for discipling this generation.
